Performance management is a process that promotes conversation between supervisors and employees, as well as a tool to develop individual capacity and skill.
This process provides an important opportunity for a manager and employee to:
- recognize accomplishments and/or identify developmental needs;
- promote greater understanding of current and/or future goals (University, departmental, work unit), as well as, their specific role in facilitating achievement of these objectives; and
- discuss skills development/enhancement opportunities to encourage continuous learning and to enable career growth.
Performance Plans for the 2017-2018 transition cycle are due on Friday, August 4.
This means the performance plan meeting with your employee and the employee acknowledgement in NinerTalent should be completed by close of business on August 4.
