FLSA Overtime Exemption Rule Update


On November 22, 2016, a federal juge filed a preliminary injunction to halt the implementation of the new FLSA exemption rules that were to take effect on December 1, 2016. The deadline has been put on hold while under additional federal review; the proposed change could be implemented at a later time. Employers are required to continue to follow existing FLSA regulations until a decision is reached.
