NinerTalent STAKES - Performance

Performance management is a process that promotes conversation between supervisors and employees, as well as a tool to develop individual capacity and skill.

This process provides an important opportunity for a manager and employee to:

  1. recognize accomplishments and/or identify developmental needs;
  2. promote greater understanding of current and/or future goals (University, departmental, work unit), as well as, their specific role in facilitating achievement of these objectives; and
  3. discuss skills development/enhancement opportunities to encourage continuous learning and to enable career growth.

Note: All staff employees, regardless of status, are required to have an annual performance appraisal.
