Who can participate?

  • All members of the faculty and staff are eligible to submit an eligible staff member for recognition
  • All SHRA or EHRA staff members are eligible to be recognized under this program

How can I submit recognition?

  • Submissions can be made either electronically via the webform or manually on printed submission cards.

    • The webform can be found online.

    • Submission cards can be obtained by contacting the Staff Award and Recognition Coordinator or can be printed here.

  • A complete submission is comprised of:

    • Staff Member Name,

    • Staff Member Department,

    • Staff Member Supervisor Name,

    • Submitter Name,

    • Submitter Department,

    • and a short write-up noting why the staff member is being recognized.

  • Webform submissions are automatically transmitted to the program coordinator. Physical submission cards can be delivered to the Human Resources Department

  • Once monthly, before the drawing, submissions will be forwarded electronically to supervisors for approval.

  • Staff Members may be submitted for a maximum of three times per month.

  • There is no limit to the number of times an individual can submit recognition.

Monthly Drawing

  • Once quarterly, submissions will be compiled and winners will be selected in a random drawing.

  • Each quarter, gift cards in the amount of $25 (twenty-five dollars) will be given as prizes to the drawing winners.

  • Nominees cannot receive the gift card prize more than once quarterly and four times annually.

  • One winner will be drawn for every five submissions (1:5 ratio) up to a total of ten winners each quarter.


  • All approved submissions will be published on the staff recognition website

  • Drawing winners will be published in the staff recognition newsletter

  • Video of the drawing will be posted on the website
